Well, it appears to me that we're being asked to invite more and more love, kindness, caring for loved ones and family members and generally more sharing and caring into our lives. Obviously, these values are not just reserved for Christmas, but, hopefully, should be played out on a continual basis.

People have been asking me to comment on the Jupiter Chiron Neptune conjunction. This feels like less of a transit and more of a social movement. These planets together bring quite a story to our collective unconscious and stir us up in one way or another. And rightly so - this IS a big story. The Sabian Symbol for the conjunction is Aquarius 27: An Ancient Pottery Bowl Filled With Fresh Violets. This is a beautiful Symbol, one that evokes purity, softness, kindness, thoughtfulness and provides us with a link to things that feel old, worthwhile, enduring, stable, beautiful, romantic. Chiron, Jupiter and Neptune are all rather 'healing' planets, or at least linked very strongly to spirit and the spirit realms and their healing possibilities.

Mercury, that trickster of planets, that elusive and brilliant mind-playing planet, has just gone retrograde again in an air sign - Gemini. Mercury retrograde periods are times when movement forward is littered with "detour" signs and dead ends. Especially in Gemini, the sign that Mercury rules, we want forward movement, not backwards and not sideways. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on what's going on in your life and how you view it, the retrograde periods of Mercury push us to revise, redo, reconsider and go back over things from the past rather than instigating new projects, new ideas, new promises. May's Scorpio full Moon falls on the evening of May 8 in the United States and around the middle of the day on May 9 in Australia.
