Some News From Lynda
As many of you know, my website was down for several days recently. On Christmas Eve, it sustained a "malicious and sustained attack" which caused the server and several other sites to go down. I had just spent weeks with a webmaster moving the site and it was freshly up when the attack happened. The reason it took so long to migrate it to another server was because I could not get the passwords I needed to access the back end of the site. This made the move costly as it involved an enormous amount of work to move all the files, most especially the Oracle. The site needed to be moved as I had not been able to update it or make any changes for over a year.
As a result of the attack, in this last week I had to have the site moved again, this time to a dedicated server. (Many may remember I had problems with the site being down last Christmas.) There's now been some improvements to the site, and, time permitting, I will be adding some new features, updating the on line Oracle and writing new articles.
The Sabian Oracle has been on line, free, for the past 13 years. I'm sharing this with you because I need some help in keeping it going.
I know that times are difficult for many financially, but perhaps you can help. I like to soldier on and make it all happen under my own steam, but sometimes one just has to reach out! In order to raise some much needed funds, I have some ideas...
