October's Libran new Moon falls on October 15 and it signals new starts, announcing new beginnings, but it can also signify a lot of noise and 'hot air' being blown around. I imagine we'll be hearing a bit of both, especially with the elections happening in the United States.
CHANTICLEER'S VOICE HERALDS THE RISING SUN WITH ENTHUSIASTIC TONES
This Symbol shows enthusiasm, joy, confidence and the desire to greet each day with the anticipation of new opportunities. It is true that each day begins the same – the Sun comes up, the world is still spinning – but what the day will bring always holds a bit of a mystery. This is a joyous Symbol of greeting and heralding the day, but there can be a blurring of the concept of whether the “Chanticleer” (the rooster), causes or simply heralds the new day. You may be blessed with the voice to speak of new developments, to make announcements and wake everyone up to the realities of life. Don’t make too much of a noise while doing it and you’ll rouse people around you to action. Waking early. Having a clear, beautiful or loud voice. Feeling like a brand new start is on its way. Speaking up when needed. Being a morning person. Seeing things ahead of time.

This shows “Children” at “Play”; enjoying in a natural setting. Nowadays, the true art of play has largely been forgotten or lost. We have the apparent need for more and more toys or gadgets in order to bring joy. Much is learnt through letting go and allowing your self to experience the joy found naturally in the company of others. You may have the potential for greater things, but don't sometimes understand what they are. Development takes time and latent talent eventually leads to greater things. You will fulfill your potential, but you must start at the beginning. Joining with others helps as everyone brings their own creative talents – don’t hide yourself away. Creative integration of new ideas. Interacting with others. Playing hide and go seek. Playgrounds. Crop circles. The desert. Shifting sand. Rituals. Native American Indian rites.

A FINE LACE ORNAMENTAL HANDKERCHIEF
This Symbol speaks of emotions and the delicacy of feelings and a preparedness to show one’s emotions. Often, the “Ornamental Handkerchief” shows someone who has issues or problems with being emotional, letting go or crying. It can, however, show a person who is always there, at the ready, for people who need a shoulder to cry on or a kind ear to listen. Sometimes the smallest tokens of our past, like a “Fine Lace Handkerchief” can bring us a sense of security and joy. The scent of the "fabric", the care and loving in the crafting of things of beauty give a sense of security and being loved. Delicacy of feeling. Attention to detail. Valor and bravery. Hypersensitivity. Makeup and accessories. Perfume and beautiful things. Bric-a-brac. Grandmother’s things.
The Caution: The artificial sob-story. False sympathy for others. The past that should be forgotten. Everything having to be perfect. Crocodile tears. Mass manufacturing.
A GAME OF CRICKET
This Symbol shows playing the game of life by the rules. Like the “Game of Cricket”, there are rules and guidelines to go by that need to be respected and observed. It is not so much the game that is important, but how it is played. Cricket is very much a ‘gentleman’s game’ and it is usually played by people who come together from all around in order to side with those they choose to play the game with. You will find that integrity is vital and your honesty will give you rewards, even if there is some initial sacrifice. Careful team work is needed to stop things getting through the gaps; everyone must, to some extent, keep on their toes. Playing by the rules. Stiff upper-lip responses. Seeing through the illusions of what constitutes ‘polite society’. Sportsmanship. Courtesy. Umpire’s decisions. Opposing teams.
The Caution: Difficulty
showing one's true feelings and emotions. Being caught out. Situations that are
boring and long winded. Silly rules that don’t make sense. Prudish.
Jupiter: Gemini 17
THE HEAD OF A ROBUST YOUTH CHANGES INTO THAT OF A MATURE THINKER
This Symbol shows how at times in our lives we seem to, or need to, grow up and mature. We realize that there is only so much that one can do with youthful force. This Symbol shows that it is time to use mature thinking, using your intellect and intuition and being able to take in the consequences and responsibilities of one’s actions. Allowing mature wisdom to come through, there can be a feeling of one's mindset changing and growing. Responsibilities are taken on board and it’s time to stop ‘tearing around’ and to be more serious about life and its ramifications. Going from reacting with the lower emotional nature to thinking with the higher mind. Pondering. Thinking things through. Finding answers. A state of stillness. Forever young.

This Symbol implies something fragile and beautiful that may somehow be shattered or lost. It can also show the need to let things go and not hang onto them to the point of shattering and loss. There will be times of building up or concentrating your emotions until they are suddenly let out. There may be little that you can do about an outburst, but you may need to be careful of what you do as you sort things out. Sometimes things need to be “Broken” so that their contents can be released and fully appreciated or revealed. A SQUARE BRIGHTLY LIGHTED ON ONE SIDE
This Symbol often shows a positive nature that knows how to find ways out of situations by creating creative solutions. Don't become too concerned with one side of issues in the material world, even if you feel boxed in with no way out. Don’t have all your eggs in one basket. You have the ability to simply look around with a more objective eye and apply simple, active solutions - there are always ways out of dilemmas. Look for the light and head towards it. Refusal to surrender to frustrations. Thinking outside the square. Illuminated solutions. Understanding the borders of one's activities. Looking for stability. A strong discharge of energies.

Being involved is the thing, and how you are involved will show what you need to do and the tempo of the buying and selling. It can indicate getting one’s self or goods on display and ready for sale. The “Market Place” is said to be “Crowded” and “Public”; aspects of the community are on display and available. BIRDS IN THE HOUSE SINGING HAPPILY
This degree shows the spreading of joy, happiness and laughter to those around you. It also shows that music can lighten people’s spirits. Further, thinking positive thoughts, being loving and accepting of others are the hallmarks of this degree. Listening to the songs of birds can be rather magical and can bring spiritual messages. By expressing your pleasure you can lift the feelings of others and they will most likely join in the chorus, in some way. Even though there are a number of social rules to follow, that shouldn't bother you. This is a sign of sharing good feelings and happiness with all who enter your sphere of operations. A PARADE OF ARMY OFFICERS IN FULL DRESS
This shows springing to attention and rallying to show duty, honor and protection of the community and higher ideals. Recognition may need to be given for service and dedication to the community. Dedication, discipline and duty bring their own rewards and often people with this Symbol turn up first with whatever is needed to make people feel better, protected or recognized. Putting on your best face, and your uniform – and there are many ‘uniforms’ that can be worn - and joining with others will ensure success. There may be issues of showing one’s ‘authority’ in public, staking a claim as part of the broader community that works to protect and bring everyone together. National pride displayed. Patriotism. Memories of war. Being committed to service. Being dressed up. Putting on a uniform. Medals. Stripes. Drills. Routines. Parades.
The Caution: ‘Stiff'
and unfeeling. Having special privileges that other's don't. Having to do what

A MILITARY BAND MARCHES NOISILY ON THROUGH THE CITY STREETS
This Symbol shows the need for occasionally making a show for society to remind ourselves of our successes and achievements, whether they are collective or personal achievements. The “Military Band” can make an enormous amount of noise as it “Marches Noisily”, but sometimes we need to be woken or reminded of the cohesion that a military band can show. Likewise, this can show someone that likes to bang their own drum or to make a big noise about themselves or for the establishment. As long as the audience is ok with this display, one can contain the reaction from others. Sometimes, though, people get annoyed by people banging their drums a little too loudly. Noisy announcements. Making music to rouse people from complacency. Demanding attention. Trumpeting one's agenda. Marching in time. The blast of the media. Drums.

fanfare. Demanding to be heard. Propaganda. Threats to peace. Banging on.
Moon's South Node: Taurus 27
This Symbol indicates having talents and skills and crafts that reflect one’s culture or abilities. Don't underestimate yourself and do only what you think others believe you are capable of. These very limitations are telling you of hidden talents and skills that you probably just take for granted. There is something very worthwhile on offer here, don't wait for passersby to stop and pay attention. Others may think you’re more talented and special than you realize. Get out and show your talents and abilities.
Older, wiser elements of society making offerings to younger, less integrated. Worthy skills. Handicrafts. Artifacts of the tribe or clan. Quiet determination to succeed.
