The Full Moon is on Sagittarius 30: THE POPE BLESSING THE FAITHFUL.
This is a very interesting Symbol, and, like all of the Sabian Symbols, it can manifest in many ways. This image of 'Blessing The Faithful' can be seen through all kinds of lenses, on a personal level, politically, economically. All kinds of levels. Just who 'The Faithful' and who 'The Pope' is can be a very interesting thing. Whether our candidate is winning in the election, or not, whether we, or our friends are blessing us with their time, energies or thoughts, or, whether we have to be in a particular situation or 'faith' in order to be blessed can be interesting questions. We can 'Bless' others as well: We can give them our time and energy and best wishes. Divides can occur when people don't come together as one, as there can be an 'us and them' mentality.
The following, including the quotations above, are my full interpretation of this degree from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom:
Commentary: ‘The Pope’ is an image of someone who has an exalted position and operates with a high sense of authority, hopefully with spiritual awareness and love. The word ‘Pope’ comes from the Latin “papa”” and the Greek “pappas”. He is dispensing ‘Blessings’ on his people; those who believe in him, his position and his cause. ‘Blessings’ can also come from worshipping a higher power with people of like mind. Dispensing the rewards of faith upon people who are committed and eager leads to an enlightening of those who receive, and also those who do the ‘Blessing’. A major voice will be heard—who is the spokesperson that will be heard by the collective?
Oracle: There is often a need to create or assign someone as the physical representation of what is believed on the spiritual plane. This person of authority performs actions that give our beliefs a feeling of reality and draw the community together. When you do things that are true to your inner self there is a feeling of connection to a higher power. This feeling is like a ‘Blessing’ and is a reminder of the spiritual purpose of life. The situation or event that is the center of your question may be in need of just such a ‘Blessing’. If you are one of the “worthy ones”, you will probably receive a sign that you are on the true path. If the question relates to a group situation, it may be that you or someone in the group needs to take on the role of spiritual representative, be a ‘Pope’, and reward the group with your words of wisdom and experience. That will help maintain their focus, motivation and faith in what they are trying to achieve. It may be important to show reverence and respect to others, as this will lead to rewards of their own. This can also represent someone having a powerful memory. A noble or regal person will remember the faces and names of huge numbers of people who surround them. It can feel like a 'Blessing' to be in their company.
Keywords: Rituals of reverence, blessings and worship. Sincere interest in others. Being on the inside looking out or being on the outside looking in. Recognizing the source of enormous inner riches. Rewards for loyalty. Seeking support or recognition. Eye-to-eye contact. Being remembered. Charisma and presence. Having an audience with someone.
The Caution: Overwhelming political or spiritual rituals. Lust for power. Negating, projecting and transferring one’s shadow onto others. Not taking responsibility for one’s actions. Begging people to dispense favors. Sucking up to be accepted or recognized. Manipulating for desired ends. Nervous reaction to power or position. Demanding obedience. Lording it over people. Leaving people out that don’t measure up or conform. Having people at one’s beck and call.
The Quest Degree for the Moon is Capricorn 1: AN INDIAN CHIEF CLAIMS RECOGNITION AND POWER FROM THE ASSEMBLED TRIBE.
Claiming 'Recognition And Power From The Assembled Tribe' is an interesting challenge. It shows how we have to step up to the plate, take on our responsibilities and have a sovereign sense of self. Whether we see this in ourselves as taking charge of our own 'domain', or, see this in the political realms, the issue is that one must command respect and work towards the good of everyone - even as far as working for the good of the collective.
This shows the necessity or the ability to be strong, stand tall, be in charge and command respect. There are leadership issues that need to be embraced or addressed. Sometimes we need to rise to the occasion and take charge and this may lead to a struggle for control; you may have to remind those around you that you can be trusted to make decisions or lead others. Those above you may remind you of your lesser position in the scheme of things – are some jealous of your achievements and power? Know when to give way to the rights of others.
Keywords: Assuming authority and the need for it. Benevolence bestowed. Winning by charisma and strength of numbers. Finding a true sense of place. Signs that one should be in charge. Staking one's claim. The 'Claim of Recognition'. Respect. Having to stand up or stand out in the crowd. Having the charisma of leadership. Consolidating power. Popularity contests.
The Caution: Power struggles. Over-inflated views of one's self. A sense of entitlement. Egotistical responses. Taking over. Too many chiefs. Lording it over others. Selfish and ego-driven. The continual need to quieten power battles. Demanding attention and that others follow orders.
The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy - yours and others.
The Sun is on Gemini 30: A PARADE OF BATHING BEAUTIES BEFORE LARGE BEACH CROWDS.
This Symbol can show the scrutiny that we, and others, face, when we are judged, put on show or take a front-of-center stance in life. Criticisms of how someone looks, how they 'perform', how they show up, etc, can be rather interesting to observe. Is the true face of other people, or, perhaps yourself, being shown?
This Symbol shows how society appreciates and acknowledges beauty and glamour. It is often important to put on your best face and apparel and to present your self with confidence. Be aware that some are getting a lot of attention and there is a potential audience. There may be a feeling of only being appreciated for one’s superficial attributes and values without appreciation of the deeper layers of one’s persona. Displays of beauty and physical fitness can bring joy and wonder, or jealousy and derision, so you may need to be careful of what's being revealed and who it is revealed to.
Keywords: Being on show. Sheer attraction of beauty. Seeking praise. Displaying in order to get people to observe and/or evaluate. Beauty pageants. Bathing costumes and skimpy clothing. Beaches. Lifeguards. Beauty judges. Nudist beaches. Breast sizes. The mysteries of the feminine. Playing dressups. Gatherings of goddesses. Mermaids converging. The water element. Recognizing superficiality and shallow behavior. Water nymphs.
The Caution: Using superficialities to falsely win support. Giving importance to appearance and neglecting the "beauty within". Too much makeup. Flaunting one’s body. Leering and jeering. Lusting after the unattainable. Feeling like merchandise.
The Karmic Degree for the Sun is Gemini 29: THE FIRST MOCKINGBIRD OF SPRING SINGS FROM THE TREE TOP.
This is a degree that can show wonderful blendings of sounds, messages and realizations. We may have a voice that needs to be heard. We may have a message that needs to be broadcast. However, it can also show situations where people 'mock' each other, divulge things that might otherwise be secret, plagiarise and steal ideas.
This Symbol implies that you can take the best of what is available and make something even better. The 'Mockingbird' is often seen as copying others and therefore not particularly original, however, the 'Mockingbird' is very creative; it uses the sounds of other birds to make a very unique call of its own. There is a great deal of skill involved in this and getting one’s thoughts heard can be quite important. There are often people who will respond jealously. A key question is: are the words or thoughts original and unique or are they borrowed from others without a sense or filter of personal authenticity?
Keywords: Enormous creative potential and talent. Integrating sounds to find a new melody. Being the first to see potential. Music and musicians. Interpretation. Pleasing others. Getting the story out first. Seeing and telling things ahead of their time. Being an innovator. Passing on messages. Tunes, songs. Positive vibrations.
The Caution: Taking from others and claiming the credit. Being noisy. Announcing new possibilities or just sounding off? Plagiarism. Theft. Scrambling to get in first. Mimicking others. Not having any original ideas. Revving up a story to get an effect. Having to always get in first.
The Quest Degree for the Sun is Cancer 1: ON A SHIP THE SAILORS LOWER AN OLD FLAG AND RAISE A NEW ONE.
This can show a radical shift, a decision, a movement forward, or, sideways. We may wonder what flag we are really saluting. We may have realizations that have us deciding that the old ways have not worked and we want a new 'Flag', a new standard to fly.
This Symbol implies a time of dropping the old whilst adopting the new. To 'Lower an Old Flag and Raise a New One' marks real turning points in one’s life. Something is changing, possibly dramatically, and the transformation should be taken seriously. Something that once was useful or valuable is, or has, ended and something brand new is beginning or emerging. There should be a symbolic gesture or expression of this change of allegiance. It may help to run any new ideas or plans up the "flagpole" to see if anybody salutes. You’re could change countries, professions, relationships, etc, as these are very significant times.
Keywords: Changing loyalties. Turning points in one's obligations or duties. Announcing new standards. Turning a corner. Getting rid of the old guard. Letting go of old allegiances and taking up new ones. Giving up old ways. Changing bad habits. Taking the helm. Switching sexual preferences. Sailors. Ships. Flags. Divorces. Marriages. Change of shifts. If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had better seek another flag. Anon
The Caution: Quickly rejecting the old just for the sake of change. Fickleness. Not sticking with things long enough to win the rewards of longevity or loyalty. Mutiny.
The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy - yours and others.
Mercury is on Gemini 12: A BLACK SLAVE-GIRL DEMANDS HER RIGHTS OF HER MISTRESS
This Symbol shows the need to be given respect and taken seriously. At times you find that you can’t put up with the way you’re treated, the pressure builds up and suddenly, and probably from out of nowhere, a torrent of emotion comes out. If you're being spoken badly to or treated with little respect, make a stand - don't put up with it. It's tiring to be treated like a 'Slave' or dutiful underling. Everyone should have equal rights. Spread your wings of freedom and seek to improve things by being frank and honest. You may win, but you can never truly lose if you act with integrity and honesty.
Keywords: Rising above conditioning and limitations. Standing up for one's self. Demanding better treatment. Seeking recognition and self-respect. Being in charge of one's life. Breaking away from oppression. Wanting a raise in pay or conditions. The need for freedom. Desiring property and rewards. Rising up from an "underdog" position or situation. The quest for identity.
The Caution: Feeling hard done by and deserving better. Blaming others for situations. Bucking authority. Demanding to be recognized or noticed. Throwing tantrums.
Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is on Cancer 4: A CAT ARGUING WITH A MOUSE.
I find this to be a rather difficult run of Symbols, both the Karmic (the degree before) and the Quest Degrees (the degree after). There can be arguing, and a feeling of being taken advantage of by the 'bigger guys'.
This Symbol often implies arguing, taking on opponents regardless of size and the ability to win, and, sometimes, being unable to let things just be. Along with bullying, this can show bickering, which is time consuming, often immature and useless. What is the central issue around what's going on and what are the old values that require reassessment? There is an imbalance at work. There can be a desire to justify to the other what should be done and why. This Symbol can show a selfless advocate for the underdog; prepared to protect others. Try to stop useless mental monkey chattering.
Keywords: Aggressively and actively taking advantage of situations or people. Hide and go seek games. Aggression vs. innocence. Harassment. Standing up for one's self. The David and Goliath story. Questioning established power structures. Looking out for one's best interests. Shock and fear. Cats. Mice. Hiding. Waiting.
The Caution: Time-wasting arguments and bickering. Being aggressive because one can. Picking on those smaller. Fighting dirty. Being patronizing. Power trips. Hiding away to avoid being targeted. Feeling like someone’s prey. Feeling victimized and bullied. Antagonism. Unfair battles. Those who think they know more. Mental, physical or emotional torment. Beating yourself up.
The Karmic Degree for Venus is Cancer 3: AN ARCTIC EXPLORER LEADS A REINDEER THROUGH ICY CANYONS.
This was the degree of Mars in the chart of The Titanic. And, it can signify 'hitting an ice-berg'. However, if one takes one step at a time, we can get through difficulties and cut to the chase - we can lead by our natural instincts or use a compass. Either way, we need to have the drive to keep going.
This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, of plowing on through cold or difficult times by facing up to difficulties with a brave attitude and a determination to get through them. By adapting to changing needs and constantly aware of difficulties, success can be achieved. You probably need to persevere and progress slowly. There is really no possibility of stopping or slowing down too much as the situation could freeze-up. You may be surprised by "icy" feelings and cold responses. Although you have the natural elements to help, it is more a time of struggling through unusual difficulties than trying to create a particular appearance. Using animal instincts to get through tough times. Facing bad weather and hardship. Following the leader without knowing where one is going. Unfamiliar surroundings.
Keywords: Using animal instincts to get through tough times. Facing bad weather and hardship. Following the leader without knowing where one's going. Unfamiliar surroundings. The point of no return. Being in a cul-de-sac. Being led around by the hand (or the nose). Treading carefully. Icebergs. Glaciers. Snow and ice. Risky ventures. The Titanic story.
The Caution: Taking those unfamiliar to the situation and unwittingly heading towards danger. Putting one’s self through hard times when it’s avoidable. Restrictive outlooks on life. Frozen responses. Frigidity. Feeling lost, alone, frozen with fear or forsaken. Willingly going the hard way. Lack of provisions.
The Quest Degree for Venus is Cancer 5: AT A RAILROAD CROSSING, A CAR RACES WITH A TRAIN.
This can be a very difficult degree, especially if one gets in the way of larger forces. To be agents of change, we must not get wrecked ourselves, but, prevail and stand up for when things seem unjust or pitted against us.
This Symbol implies the desire, or the ability, to compete with or take on society as if life were a race or something to be conquered. The ‘Car’ is a vehicle for the individual and the ‘Train’ a vehicle for the masses. There is often a need for caution; the individual will not always survive a collision with the more powerful collective. It may not work to be insisting bravely that your individual needs should be considered. The collective has too much momentum. If someone pits themselves and their energies continually against society, sooner or later they are likely to lose.
Keywords: Not looking to the consequences of actions. Recklessly going for an objective. Not considering the ramifications. Lots of people causing problems with scheduling. Having the guts to go against society. Cars, trains. Individual rights. Rebelling. Crossroads. The need for good timing.
The Caution: Recklessness. Sacrificing individuals for larger gains. Working until one drops. Not looking left or right for possible trouble. Going in the wrong direction. Working at cross-purposes. Not nourishing one’s self. Putting the desire for gain before one’s more basic personal needs. Valuing possessions before people. Talking so no one gets a word in. Going off the rails. Upsetting or obstructing others. Wreckage. Emotional panic. Spinning out of control.
Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.
Mars is stationing on Scorpio 24: CROWDS COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN TO LISTEN TO ONE INSPIRED PERSON.
Mars is on this degree from around the 19th June until approx the 13th July. This is a very long time for Mars to be on a degree. The energy is concentrated so much, especially as Mars is in Scorpio. Who is going to be the 'One Inspired Person'? Who is going to be designated as the one to be listened to? Politically, with all that's going on in the world, this is going to be very interesting. I have been thinking about Mars being here for some time. I have often, not always, of course, seen this degree as indicating a president or prime minister - a position of political, religious or economic power. What is this going to bring about? If one's individual 'Inspired Person' isn't the one who gets the nod from those higher up, what is likely to happen? The trick with this degree is to discern who we listen to. It also can show a need to have our own voice heard.
This implies having a message or the voice that others flock to in order to listen. Whether you are the “One Inspired Person”, or someone in the audience, you may feel that you have had some wonderful realizations after hearing inspired messages, from within yourself or from an external source, and now you need to bring these lessons or understandings down to an everyday level in order to integrate them into everyday life. People will have different responses to the messages given. Not all will be responsive, but the message will resonate with those that are meant to hear it. What will be done with this information and how far will it spread?
Keywords: Power to sway the feelings and thoughts of many. The ability to draw a large audience. The Jesus story. Giving one's power away to those who apparently have more authority. Charisma. Having a large audience. The minds and the ears of the many. Oratory skills. Gurus. Listening. Ascending the mountain to achieve a purer state of being. Lecturing.
The Caution: Naiveté, gullibility Feeling like someone else holds all the answers. Wanting everyone to listen regardless of their input or needs. Demanding centre stage. Situations that smack of guru mentality. Idolatry and the manipulation that can come from it. Forcing ideas on others when they don't really want to listen. Not letting others get a word in. Snobbery.
Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.
Jupiter is on Virgo 16: DELIGHTED CHILDREN CROWD AROUND THE ORANGUTAN CAGE IN A ZOO.
Jupiter spent several days on this degree last year in late October and early November. One can feel like one is living in a 'Zoo'. It can certainly feel like that, and, with Jupiter here, it can come about through the political and legal systems, it can show a feeling of some not being very 'evolved' and there can be a great divide between people. Fences are used to keep the 'Orangutans' on their side of the divide. Social media can throw up some very revealing, entertaining, or, disturbing elements of society.
This Symbol shows the fun and delight that can come from observing and being a part of nature. There often needs to be a primitive, yet childlike response to situations. Facing the baser instincts of oneself and others brings a fresh, new approach to life. Building cages and fences keeps others from being able to relate in a carefree way. Separations can come from seeing others as being different or apart. Seeing the common factors that unite us can be very informative about our own emotions, as well as our shortcomings. Also, you may feel like some are from a different species, a different planet or live in a zoo.
Keywords: Karmic confrontations between the creatively integrated and the unevolved. Objects of derision, fascination or worship. Showing off or acting to get a reaction from others. Trying to relate to others that don't understand. Feeling like one is in a zoo. Observing others. Curiosity. Crowding around. Everyone wanting to have a look. Going by instincts. Television shows such as Jerry Springer. News networks. The media. Lack of social inhibition.
The Caution: Egoistic feelings of being better or in a higher state of evolution. Having no place for privacy. Gaping at others. Taunting people. Daring others to do something outrageous or animal-like. Making fun of people. Building cages. Hiding from view. Fences and barriers. The intrusion of the media (beating up stories). Eliciting sick behavior from others.
The Quest Degree for Jupiter is Virgo 17: A VOLCANIC ERUPTION BRINGING DUST CLOUDS, FLOWING LAVA, EARTH RUMBLINGS
This Situation implies situations, attitudes or emotions that slowly gather steam, build up and suddenly explode. It pictures situations of catharsis. There may be, at times, an effort to hold things inside, but after a while there can be no more resistance and everything gets forced out. This can be in the form of anger, or passion, but it can also be the explosion of insight and creative ideas. It often works far better to just let things blow, as resisting the urge to let go can cause enormous pressure to build up. Look to see if the force of emotions is really related to current situations.
Keywords: Thoughts or ideas pouring out. Torrents of thought or emotion. Anger that needs expression. Eruptions that are quickly overcome. Pressure cooker environments. After shocks. Waiting for the dust to settle. Cathartic release. Volcanoes. Earthquakes. Earth tremors. Rumblings. Earth changes. Dust
The Caution: Suppression of anger or energy to the point of explosive disaster. Tantrums. Choking the air with sulfurous dust-clouds. Holding things inside. Overreactions. Spewing one’s insides. Flipping out. Events that throw out shocking news or emotions.
Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.
Saturn is retrograde on Sagittarius 12: A FLAG THAT TURNS INTO AN EAGLE; THE EAGLE INTO A CHANTICLEER SALUTING THE DAWN
This Symbol shows being able to proclaim one’s feelings, beliefs, love of country or political opinions, without feeling they are likely to be criticized, shot down or dismissed. Our highest ideals can be expressed proudly, like “A Flag” and as an expression of spiritual purity - “The Eagle” at “Dawn”. You may find that you are regularly moved to burst forth with your ideas, giving voice to what you think and feel. However, some may not like the message or what you have to say, how you say it or where you say it. However, issues that are really worthwhile and 'centered' will be seen by many and heard in the clear light of day.
Keywords: Declared idealism. Trumpeting ideals. National pride. Peak experiences. Flags. Symbols of strength, unity and power. Truths. The pomp and ceremony of big political displays. Issues of nationhood. Issues of world domination. Elevated views and perspectives. Forceful voices. Reaching for the highest plane. Nobility and pride. Successful outcomes. National anthems. New empires. Messages from the president.
The Caution: Assuming right because of might or power. Propaganda. Lording it over others. Seeing others as being lesser. Crowing. World domination. Loud voices. Bullying.
The Quest Degree for Saturn is Sagittarius 13: A WIDOW'S PAST IS BROUGHT TO LIGHT.
As Saturn is retrograde, it recently spent several days on this degree. What is being 'Brought To Light'? What is being suppressed?
This Symbol implies revealing issues, secrets or problems from the “Past”, so they can be dealt with. There are issues which will be “Brought to Light”. Perhaps your past catches up with you, or, people in your family or circle of friends have stories, histories, deeds, acts or personalities that need to be handled with care and tact. There is often a healing as things that have been kept ‘closeted’ lose some of their charge when they come into the light of day. Although you, or others, may be in a reasonably sympathetic position in the eyes of others, some may not like what is revealed. Bring issues to 'Light' where they can be healed, forgiven and, hopefully, forgotten.
Keywords: Unveiling and exposing—or creating a new and vibrant beginning. Getting rid of yesterday's darkness. Looking back to revision attitudes. Being freed for new opportunities. The "scales" falling from one's eyes. Reasons as to why relationships have failed. Remembering. Past life memories. Things being found or discovered. Wills. Inheritances. Death certificates. Uranus is on Aries 24: AN OPEN WINDOW AND A NET CURTAIN BLOWING INTO THE SHAPE OF A CORNUCOPIA
This Symbol shows that your mind is, or should be, open to possibilities that are being 'blown' in from the realm of spirit. There is an abundance coming, shown by the Cornucopia, which will be self-sustaining. This degree suggests that with the slightest change in direction your fortunes could change as well. Look for out-of-the-ordinary opportunities and possibilities. Realizing that in one's everyday life, one has it all. Open your windows and blinds and let air and sunshine in and watch good things follow.
Keywords: Imagination. Keeping your options open. The promise of fruition. The breath of life filled with inspiration. Realizing that in everyday life, one has it all. Windows of opportunity. Gain, abundance, riches. Spiritual energies pouring in. Concentrated energy. Seeing desires taking shape. Curtains and windows.
The Caution: Relying on spiritual ideas to provide material sustenance. Thinking that good luck will just 'blow in'. Shutting windows and doors – keeping light and life out.
Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or 'different'. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.
Neptune is stationing retrograde on Pisces 13: A SWORD, USED IN MANY BATTLES, IS NOW IN A MUSEUM
This shows knowing when to stop battling in life, when to lay down one’s “Sword” and take up a higher position that reflects a more intelligent or spiritual way of being in the world. Sometimes, when reminded of the battles of the past, we are influenced towards actions that ensure peace. We are uplifted by the symbolic memory of past deeds of valor, although stings of defeat may be part of the story. You may be faced with the choice of fighting or reasoning which is confused by your lack of training or experience in the ways of “Battle”. Don’t go down with the ship. It helps to lay down one's 'sword' - not in order to surrender, but to stop the 'warring'
Keywords: Willpower. Martial arts. Putting aside thoughts of vengeance and revenge. Hanging up or laying down one's 'Sword'. Trophies of conquest that remind us of the past. History. Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, "out there," spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.
Pluto is retrograde on Capricorn 17: A YOUNG PERSON SURREPTITIOUSLY BATHING IN THE NUDE
This Symbol shows getting rid of the restraints imposed by social conditioning and inhibitions; to strip down to bare essentials and not be ashamed of it. The “Young Person” is enjoying the feeling of not having clothes or costume to constrain or cover them. They are also letting the sun and the air contact their skin which is very healthy and revivifying. Although there may be some feelings of being ‘exposed’, really letting go and not worrying about being ‘seen’ can lead to feelings of freedom. This applies to a freeing up or exposing on a spiritual and emotional level as well, it’s not confined to physical realities.
Keywords: Confrontations with one's self. Reconnecting with nature. A desire to "reveal" oneself mentally, physically or emotionally. Issues with weight. The Quest Degree for Pluto is Capricorn 18: THE UNION JACK FLIES FROM A NEW BRITISH WARSHIP
Pluto recently spent several weeks on this degree as it went retrograde on it. This Symbol has been evident in many situations around the world. From armaments, guns, border protection and boundaries, to the option coming up of the UK leaving the EU. Donald Trump with his walls and borders can be seen in this degree, as can the establishment pushing through their agenda.
This Symbol talks about supervision, border protection and control. There can be a feeling of having to oversee a large ‘empire’ where reliability and leadership are vital. This can be a tiring responsibility, but there can be an awareness of the protection of 'all who went before'. However, political and social restraints from the past could be causing you to feel that you’ve somehow got to ‘wage war’. Issues to do with the government can come up, whether you agree with what they do or not. You may be confronted with having to make your presence felt and guard your territory. Effective supervision will help you to relax.
Keywords: Colonialism. Protectionism. The government, big business and the media. Class-consciousness. Power and political displays. Displays of "law and order". Border patrols and protection. Strength and might. Nationalism. Royalty. The ruling elite. Supervision. The armed forces. Patrols. Pitting people against each other. Empires. Victory bringing riches. The mother country. The struggle against decline. Flags. Imperialism. The Commonwealth. The rule of law.
The Caution: Artificial shows of strength. Bullying from the “big guys”. Being armed “to the teeth”. Strong-arm tactics. Disrespect for authority. People or institutions that throw their weight around. Anarchy. Traitors. Being antiestablishment. Social disintegration. War games. Civil wars. Feeling squeezed by authority. Rebellion. Civilian lives lost for political causes. Governing forces that deny individual rights. Invasions. Being defensive.
Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one's power. Being king or queen of one's underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy. Power vs power struggles.
Chiron is on Pisces 26: A NEW MOON REVEALS THAT IT'S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS
This shows being able to see, or to accept, when it’s time for people to move on or to part from each other. They need to “Go Ahead With Their Different Projects” – their focus has changed and, quite possibly, they’ve parted ways. There's a picture here of new beginnings. People will have their own response to situations - not everyone will react in the same way. It can be a good idea to direct some energy into your desires or projects at the time of the new moon. Light a candle and state your intentions with honesty and love.
Keywords: Diversifying. Applying talents in a different direction. People splitting up and splitting off. New opportunities and potentials. The beginning of a new age. Letting go of the old and outworn. Separations. Embracing one's future without the need for others. Coming to a fork in the road. Divorces. New jobs, directions and destinies. The dawning of a new era.
The Caution: Not giving emotional support. Feeling split off and alone. The fear and loathing of separation. Failing relationships. Overthrowing the old too quickly. Fickleness.
The Karmic Degree for Chiron is Pisces 25: THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD
This shows seeing through those who hold important positions yet abuse trust or those who make great claims but don’t live up to them. At this time, you’re likely to find yourself leaving others behind, kicking them out, or experiencing falls from grace. Periodically, there is a need to examine moral and spiritual sincerity. It is easy to allow those who don't really belong to stay because of familiarity or habit. We can lose sight of the ideal through our rationalizing intellect, ego and emotive passion. There is a need to cleanse and purify your life, leading to better spiritual values. What side of the “Purging” are you on? Are you the one with the ‘right motives’? Who’s in charge?

This Symbol shows the fun and delight that can come from observing and being a part of nature. There often needs to be a primitive, yet childlike response to situations. Facing the baser instincts of oneself and others brings a fresh, new approach to life. Building cages and fences keeps others from being able to relate in a carefree way. Separations can come from seeing others as being different or apart. Seeing the common factors that unite us can be very informative about our own emotions, as well as our shortcomings. Also, you may feel like some are from a different species, a different planet or live in a zoo.

The Moon's South Node is on Pisces 16: IN A QUIET MOMENT, A CREATIVE INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCES THE FLOW OF INSPIRATION
This shows quietening the mind, spending time in “Quiet’ contemplation, allowing for the “Flow of Inspiration”. Inspiration is a stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity. You’ll find the flow of inspiration coming through if you allow it to and the more creative you allow yourself to be, the more inspiration will be in the messages. You may find that with each idea or creative inspiration there follows another and another. This signifies taking time to relax and go with the flow neither fighting against nor pushing forward. Closed minds and fixed attitudes will not help.
