The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. Denis Waitley
What a cunning mixture of sentiment, pity, tenderness and irony surrounds adolescence, what knowing watchfulness! Young birds on their first flight are hardly so hovered around. Georges Bernanos
In a broken nest there are few whole eggs. Chinese Proverb
Birds in their little nest agree; and ‘tis a shameful sight, when children of one family fall out, and chide, and fight. Isaac Watts
God stirs up our comfortable nests and pushes us over the edge of them, and we are forced to use our wings to save ourselves from fatal falling. Read your trials in this light, and see if your wings are being developed. Hannah Whitall Smith
The mother eagle teaches her little ones to fly by making their nest so uncomfortable that they are forced to leave it and commit themselves to the unknown world of air outside. And just so does our God to us. Hannah Whitall Smith
December's full Moon occurs on December 14 in Australia and December 13 in the United States. The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased - it's like we can see in the dark - and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it's lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there's magic unleashed with every full Moon.
It is a big one, meaningful and full of challenges and rewards, and, it is another Supermoon. From Space.com:
The next full moon will be the Cold Moon (or Long Nights Moon) and will rise on Tuesday, Dec. 13. While the event peaks at 7:05 p.m. EST (2105 GMT), the moon will appear full to the casual stargazer a day prior and after the peak day. The December full moon will coincide with the moon's arrival at perigee, the point at which it is closest to Earth in its monthly orbit. Such Perigee Full Moons are also sometimes called Supermoon Full Moons. Read our full guide: Supermoon December 2016: When, Where & How to See It
December's "supermoon" full moon is the last of three back-to-back supermoons in October, November and December. The November supermoon was the closest Full moon since 1948. This month's full moon also coincides with the peak of the annual Geminid meteor shower, which will peak overnight on Dec. 13 and 14.
And, this full Moon is not only 'big' in the sense of it being a Supermoon, it is also a big one in that Chiron is in a t-square with it; bringing a fantastic opportunity to look at our 'stories'. What do we tell ourselves? What is our narrative? After all, I see Chiron very much as The Stories The We Tell Ourselves, and, of course, it is well known as The Wounded Healer. Chiron is also stationary direct now, making it far more powerful, and, bringing an enormous charge to it's influences.
Adding to the energies is Saturn conjunct the Sun, and, opposing the Moon (Note: We will be feeling these energies strongly in the days leading up to the full Moon). It may feel as though we want to put our heads out the window and scream. The very strong influence of Saturn brings up issues that need to be dealt with, even if we would much rather just lie on the lounge: We are forced to look at what is and what is not working in our lives, and, we might be pushed to make big decisions that can be life-changing. At the very least, with some discipline, we can get a lot done.
In addition to all of this is Saturn and Chiron in square aspect to each other, with this becoming exact in the days following the full Moon. Examining the stories that you tell yourself can go a long way to allowing Saturn to feel like he's had his 'pound of flesh', and, rewards can come from putting better structures (and strictures = restrictions, limitations, useful barriers, etc) so that life can flow in a more rewarding manner.
The current message of Chiron is one of whether we look after ourselves, or, are often too busy just doing doing doing to be doing for ourselves. With Chiron on Pisces 21: A Little White Lamb, A Child And A Chinese Servant, Where do you put yourself in the scheme of things - on every level? As this is the lead up to Christmas, issues to do with family and the holidays and who goes where and who does what and who cares about who, etc. This full Moon is ripe for all of that, especially if we're feeling the pinch financially, or, have family issues that feel demanding and exhausting, or, live far away, making it hard to get together. Whatever it is, the trick with this full Moon is one of not taking things too seriously (especially the monkey chatter that can just get in the way of smoother sailing).
We also have Mercury going retrograde on the 19th December, conjunct Pluto in Capricorn. This is going to be another rather intense, meaningful, insightful and 'interesting' time. We might be pushed as only Mercury, sometimes manifesting as The Trickster, can know how to do. On that day, in the U.S., the Electoral College meets to vote on the election. Many will be watching intently to see what happens there. For the record, I have said this many, many times on Facebook, I saw Donald Trump winning the election, but, I don't see him being inaugurated. My intuition speaks loudly about this, and, I just can't see it. Curiously, I can't see Hillary Clinton nor Mike Pence becoming president, either. Weird times!
There can, however, be liberation and relief; we have Uranus in a fabulous sextile and trine aspect to the Sun and the Moon, bringing the possibility of freeing ourselves from old memories, beliefs, situations, jobs, events, relationships, etc. It feels like a very strong time to be saying goodbye to the false things in our lives and hello to stepping up to the plate. Uranus is stationary and starting its direct journey just before the new year of 2017. The Symbol for Uranus is so stereotypical of go get-m energy - in Aries, and, on The Boxer Entering The Ring. We just need to be aware of not throwing random punches.
Further to the idea of liberation and relief, we have Jupiter very quickly closing in to an opposition with Uranus. We don't want to continue with the outworn, the old, the too familiar, the stunting of our growth, etc. We want to burst through restrictions and take on a new year in 2017, not feel held back, and particularly not by old rules, laws and restrictions. And, especially not by the old outworn 'men in suits' = they are a product of the old and outworn. Still, the status quo may be hard to break - first, we do it with our mindset and so many good things will follow. One of the tenets I try to remember is that worrying is likely praying for something you don't want to happen...
Adding to the desire for the exercise of freedom and release is Venus and Mars both in Aquarius. With such an emphasis on Saturn and Uranus at the moment, we would do well to remember that Saturn is the old ruler of Aquarius (the modern ruler is Uranus) - therefore - it's by getting sorted, organized, motivated and readied that we can move into 2017 with a stronger sense of focus, direction and self.
It's interesting to note that there are two prominent 'Chinese' degrees in this full Moon. Sandwiched between the Sun and Saturn, and, also, the Karmic Condition of the Sun: Sagittarius 22: A Chinese Laundry. This speaks of whether we are being taken seriously, as people, as workers, as people who contribute to the good of society. It can bring up isolation, being judged for one's 'nationality', and, problems around having too much to do with not much financial reward can come up... issues to do with salaries, pensions, social security, being judged as 'an outsider'. And, Chiron is on Pisces 21: A Little White Lamb, A Child And A Chinese Servant. Of course, 'Chinese' could be translated into 'Russian' in terms of the Symbols, and, we're seeing the Russians being mentioned a lot in the media, especially lately. It's a very interesting time, to say the least. China, obviously, could come into the news more and more.

The full Moon is on Gemini 23: THREE FLEDGLINGS IN A NEST HIGH UP IN A TREE - this Symbol can bring up issues to do with family, with siblings; our brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. Do we feel that we have to compete for benefits? Is there a hierarchy around who gets the most love, attention, nourishment, protection, etc? Do we feel stuck with, crowded in, or, remote from those we love?
It is interesting to note that this is the degree of Donald Trump's Sun - this full Moon is the exact opposite of the full Moon in his chart. This Symbol can imply apartment buildings = Trump and his family and construction and where one wants to live, etc.
The following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom -
Commentary: The ‘Fledglings in the Nest’ are not yet able to fly properly as they haven’t developed the feathers
for flying. They are in their ‘Nest High Up in a Tree’. The ‘Three Fledglings’ should feel warm and supported in their ‘Nest’ and safe and at home in their environment. Although there is sometimes a feeling of being left alone and neglected, there is, hopefully, still a sense of safety in their isolation. This reflects a time of dependency on others to provide food and shelter. It may be too soon for them to move out on their own, but, after more nourishment, their time will come.
Oracle: The situation facing you is full of promise for the future. The ‘Fledglings’ are not yet ready to fly and are still in need of the “mother” to sustain, protect, nourish and educate them. The universe flows in a pattern, and this pattern includes taking time to grow, mature and learn how to fly off into our own lives under our own steam. This period in the ‘Nest’ gives us a time to be dependant and nurtured. Knowing that you will be able to rise up on your own and leave the security and safety of the ‘Nest’ is the motivation to focus on whilst growing and developing your inner self. There may be a need to resist feelings of frustration. Arguments and contests with siblings can arise, especially if you feel “cooped up” together. Perhaps you have to stay when you really would prefer to leave because of others you may feel somewhat responsible for. Perhaps there would be more room available for everyone if someone left the ‘Nest’. Whether you are one of the ‘Fledglings’ or one of the “parents" who have to protect and nurture, don’t worry—your opportunity for independence and free flight will come. Integration of spirit, soul and body will lead to you being able to fly on one’s own in good time.
Keywords: Discovering a whole new sense of being. Teaching. Safety. Living in small spaces. Wanting room to move. Privacy. Staying in the ‘Nest’ versus leaving it. Resisting change. Providing room and board for others. Sharing flats and houses. The battle for survival. Being different, therefore breaking the mold. Brothers and sisters. Expecting to be looked after and fed. Growing spirituality. Sibling rivalry.
The Caution: Wanting to leave home before one’s ready. Wondering if one’s needs will be met. Arguments about the pecking order. Psychological immaturity. Feeling dependent on external influences for survival. Feeling trapped by circumstance. Insecurity. Feeling exposed to danger. Codependence. Not knowing or realizing one’s place. Falling out. Bickering over space.
The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy - yours and others.
The Sun is on Sagittarius 23: A GROUP OF IMMIGRANTS FULFILLING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTERING A NEW COUNTRY - issues to do with migrants and refugees and 'foreigners' are continually on the agenda, and, we're seeing it all over the world. On a more personal level, there can be issues to do with whether you feel that you are 'qualified', fulfilled your 'tests', worked through what needs to be worked through in order to move into a new way of being. As with Sagittarius 22: The Chinese Laundry degree (the Karmic Condition of The Immigrants degree), there can be a need to be taken seriously, and, rewarded for your efforts.
This Symbol shows finding a new way of life, a new country or nationality, or new place to live and raise a family. It shows the possibility and hope for better things and a new way of life. Whether you are an “Immigrant” or someone looking to move on to new territory, you need to be prepared to venture out into new adventures for the promise that is offered. Once you’ve “Fulfilled the Requirements”, you can move into this brand new life and reap the rewards. There may need to be adjustments about the way one communicates one's thoughts and ideas - be receptive to this new way of life and you'll learn much. Reorientation of self. Learning new languages or customs. Passing tests (or not). Asylum. Immigration. The Statue of Liberty. Papers. Qualifications. Refugees. Laws. Borders.
Keywords: Reorientation of selfhood. Needing to change things in order to accept a new reality. The necessity of learning new languages or customs to fit in. Visas, passports, papers. Illegal immigrants. Boat people. Customs officials and regulations. Baggage and luggage. Shipping. Qualifications and certifications. Identification. Asylum. Immigration officers. Papers and qualifications that include or exclude. Refugees. Laws. Borders. Ellis Island. Throwing away the known in pursuit of the unknown.
The Caution: Inflexible traditions. The pursuit of the unknown. Rigid border controls. Customs restrictions. Being rejected and sent back. Not filling out the paperwork. Lack of credentials.
The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy - yours and others.
Mercury is on Capricorn 13: A FIRE WORSHIPPER MEDITATES ON THE ULTIMATE REALITIES OF EXISTENCE - thinking about the meaning of life can be a strong motif during the coming weeks, especially as Mercury traverses this degree a few times during it's retrograde and direct motion. Mercury goes retrograde on December 19.
This degree shows being able to focus thoughts, meditate, or to find your center. The “Fire Worshipper” can be intensely interested or passionate about something, throwing them selves into the middle of something, getting as much out of the experience, event or study as they can. You are likely to find yourself very focused, with a great passion for something that really ignites your interest. There could be a sense of danger in some respects, but also a sense of new beginnings. Harnessing your personal resources, particularly your rich inner life, can create magic. Look through appearances to get to the heart of matters.
Keywords: Self-conquest. Kundalini energy. Playing with dangerous elements to reach a higher state of being. Philosophy. The stories of our lives. Examining life and its meaning. The buzz of being alive. Questions of our very existence. Finding the reasons behind everything. Contemplation and meditation. Incense. The hypnotic spell that fire can cast. Staring into the flames. Throwing oneself into the deep end. The search for core truths.
The Caution: Overestimating personal power. Going too deeply. Playing with danger.
Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is on Aquarius 8: BEAUTIFULLY GOWNED WAX FIGURES ON DISPLAY - this can be a lovely degree of beauty, grace and refinement, however, we can also find ourselves wondering about what 'costumes' one is wearing. No doubt, we will be wondering what 'the suits' who are in business and government are actually doing. Appearances may not be everything, one has to look below the surface with this degree, especially with Venus activating it.
This speaks of being able to create beautiful, or at least useful, things to inspire others, brighten people’s lives or contribute beauty to society and culture. It can imply a sense that one is on “Display”, that others are looking at you or the things you create. Being “Beautifully Gowned” is wonderful, but inner beauty is more important than outer. It is not enough to just look the part; people must live it. Although it is great to be beautifully manicured, you must ‘walk your talk’ as well. You may find something in your life is too superficial or have only a superficial part to play. Things may look good on the outside, but what's going on inside?
Keywords: Setting standards. Exemplars of social ritual. Superficial values on display. Superficial beauty or avatars of fashion? Not showing true feelings. Beauty salons, modeling. Judging a book by its cover. No substance. Pretty on the outside. Positions of power and privilege that seem unreal. Models. Beauty and its allure. Store dummies. Money spent on appearances. Always having to look good. The need for real flesh and blood responses.
The Caution: Putting on false fronts. Beauty taking too much importance. Expecting to be noticed. Having to live up to other people’s expectations. Wooden responses. Lifeless.
Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.
Mars is on Aquarius 26: A GARAGE MAN TESTING A CAR'S BATTERY WITH A HYDROMETER - Mars on this degree can have us picking whatever is hanging in the environment; problems, vibrations, impressions, intuitions, a need to know how to fix whatever might need fixing. A 'hydrometer' is a water-measurer, and, there can be a need to check in with one's emotional center for solutions. Listening for gaps in amongst what's happening can bring about a healing, although, with Mars here, we may need to keep a check on our emotional reactions.
This Symbol shows the need to pick up problems and diagnose what might be wrong whether it’s mechanically, physically, spiritually or emotionally. The “Car” can be a car, or it can be your body; your earthly vehicle, and it may need some “Testing” to see how it’s coping with life’s pressures. Perhaps you need to use some type of gauge on your emotional reactions. There is often a need to take a more intuitive or psychic approach to problems, although an objective or inventive view will also bring results. Figure out any malfunctions so your life can proceed in a smoother, more efficient manner. Performing necessary checks and balances to ensure your life is working properly are part of the everyday maintenance of society.
Keywords: Testing the earthly vehicle for its roadworthiness. Situations that have "boiled - over", bringing all to a stop. Breakdowns and the need for repair. Checking water levels. Anticipating future problems. The need for good batteries. Cars being serviced. Oil, petrol and grease. Check ups and tune-ups. Bringing forward movement to a halt.
The Caution: Causing distress by constantly analyzing things. Bad health. Lack of water or not looking after one's self. Breakdowns from lack of care. Missing vital signals.
Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.
Jupiter is on Libra 19: A GANG OF ROBBERS IN HIDING - Jupiter here can bring issues to the surface. Whether it's situations, memories, hang ups, worries, events, relationships, etc, that are holding you back, Jupiter here can bring about a healing through, again, dropping the story. Surprising results can come from being fully prepared to shine a light on dark corners, especially now with Chiron and Saturn being so strongly highlighted at this full Moon. Further, the Karmic Condition of this degree is Libra 18: Two Men Placed Under Arrest Are Brought Before The Tribunal Of Society To Give An Accounting For Their Actions. We, or others, may have to 'explain themselves' around some issue before there can be a true healing.
This Symbol implies that you may feel you have been wronged or something has been taken from you. Often, there is no real way of finding who or what is the cause. It often happens that the feelings of loss or being taken advantage of are mostly in your own mind, making it difficult to trust or even to know how to trust. Make sure that there is no undermining of faith by indulging in suspicions that are ungrounded in reality. You could spend time searching for perpetrators, but a better solution is probably to get on with your life. However, do take precautions so you're not easily taken advantage of. Things will most probably come to light when they are meant to.
Keywords: Gaining unfair advantage. Robbers and thieves. Spying. The cold war. Big business ripping off the "little guy". People appearing to be something that they are not. Con-men mentality. Holding up proceedings. Mental attitudes that sabotage, restrict or control. The need for light. Voyeurism. Gangs. Private detectives. Ambushes.
The Caution: Unfair advantage at someone else's expense. Finding it hard to trust anything. Difficult hidden energies that erupt into consciousness. Unbalanced mental states.
Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.
Saturn is on Sagittarius 20: IN WINTER PEOPLE CUTTING ICE FROM A FROZEN POND, FOR SUMMER USE - Saturn here can bring up issues of 'having enough', being able to weather hard times, seeing things ahead of their time...
This Symbol speaks of the need for planning ahead. The people “In Winter” are “Cutting Ice From a Frozen Pond” – they know that they’ll need the ice for summer – they are thinking ahead so they can have what they need at the right time. Like these people, you'll have what you need if you allow for shifts in time and seasonal variations. Also, you may feel that you have lost touch with your emotions by creating a barrier, coming up with “Frozen” responses. This barrier can be overcome without great difficulty, just a little planning and action, and probably, a desire to work with others to build for your future.
Keywords: Overcoming difficulties ahead of time through creative solutions to problems. Strategies for survival in harder times. Stocking up and storing supplies. Savings and funds. Pension plans. Retirement plans. Work and renovation. Planning for changes in external or internal realities. Seeing shortages ahead of time. Snow. Ice. Freezing conditions. Divorce settlements.
The Caution: Stoic acceptance of difficulties. Not planning for the future. Hoping all will be okay. Sly manipulation to gather resources. Extortion. People storing up hurts and insults.
Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.
Uranus is stationary direct on Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING - with Uranus on this degree, especially as it sits on this degree for weeks and weeks as it turns direct, our energies can be super-charged, fired-up, and ready for anything OR we could be feeling as though we need time out; we've been running and running and we may need to take a breather. There's only so many body blows that we can take, after all. With this degree, though, we can feel like we're stepping up to the plate, even if it's taking a bit longer than we might like.
This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. You may feel a need, or the urge, to step up to the plate and take something or someone on. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. Make sure you possess the skills and training to defend what you believe. Remember that sometimes you need to back off if you're not winning a contest. Question: is someone on the attack or the defense?
Keywords: Physical or psychological self - assertion and determination. Attack or defense? Fighting for emotional, psychological or physical space. Being seen as a person of strength. Throwing punches. Fighting on any level. Being prepared to take a swing at someone or something. Stepping up to the plate. Throwing down the gauntlet. Going after the title. Big vs. small egos.
The Caution: Using power to dominate people or those who challenge you. Wanting to knock people out. Storming in and taking over. Looking for combat. Being combative.
Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or 'different'. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.
Neptune is on Pisces 10: AN AVIATOR IN THE CLOUDS - Neptune is still conjunct the Moon's south node. This adds fuel to the importance of letting go of things from the past. Karmic debts, etc, can be repaid through forgiveness, and, a sense of relief can come from being able to see things from a heightened perspective... that is if we're not finding it hard to see through the fog of what's really going on.
This shows being able to stay on course, not allowing distractions or difficult or confusing issues to deter you from your destination. Perhaps you need to rise above and transcend the more nitty-gritty realities of earthly existence and its difficulties, just be aware that you may not be seeing the complete picture very clearly sometimes. If you take special notice, you may be able to see through illusions, seeing past the surface appearances to things that others miss. You may be able to rely on your spiritual, creative or intellectual skills to take you above and beyond those things that others have to deal with. However, you may also be evading the real truth.
Keywords: Elevated views. Always seeing the best in people and things. Peace and tranquility. The longing for transcendence. Not seeing limitations. Being in a refined "head space". Mastery. Flight, planes, pilots. Avoidance of time constraints. Pollyanna attitudes. Free flights of fantasy and escapism. The need for accurate navigation. Being in charge of the controls. Seeking higher truths. Maps. Compasses. Global satellite positioning. Clouds. Mist and fog. Hang-gliding. Don't "over-control" like a novice pilot. Stay loose enough from the flow that you can observe it, modify, and improve it. Donald Rumsfeld
The Caution: Escaping responsibilities. Isolating oneself. Drugs and alcohol abuse. Avoiding reality. Unearthed. Unrealistic expectations. Missing the point. Evasive.
Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, "out there," spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.
Pluto is on Capricorn 17: A YOUNG PERSON SURREPTITIOUSLY BATHING IN THE NUDE - with Pluto here, we may see things in stark contrast - breakthroughs around understanding who, or what, someone, perhaps ourselves, truly are, or, what we can truly be. Revealing ourselves can feel rather intense, but, it's through self-disclosure that we find our true core.
This Symbol shows getting rid of the restraints imposed by social conditioning and inhibitions; to strip down to bare essentials and not be ashamed of it. The “Young Person” is enjoying the feeling of not having clothes or costume to constrain or cover them. They are also letting the sun and the air contact their skin which is very healthy and revivifying. Although there may be some feelings of being ‘exposed’, really letting go and not worrying about being ‘seen’ can lead to feelings of freedom. This applies to a freeing up or exposing on a spiritual and emotional level as well, it’s not confined to physical realities.
Keywords: Confrontations with one's self. Reconnecting with nature. A desire to "reveal" oneself mentally, physically or emotionally. Issues with weight. The manipulation of the female form in the media. Exhibitionism. Learning to let go of extraneous things. Confronting puritanism. Being at one with the environment. Releasing inhibitions. Stripping. Streaking. Sun lotions.
The Caution: Suppression of natural attitudes. Bondage to inhibitions. Exhibitionist. Revealing too much. Showing off. Lack of concern for others’ feelings. Sexual exploitation.
Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one's power. Being king or queen of one's underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy. Power vs power struggles.
Chiron is on Pisces 21: A LITTLE WHITE LAMB, A CHILD AND A CHINESE SERVANT - with the Chinese Laundry being the Karmic Condition of the Sun at this full Moon, we may wonder how much we continue to have to do, and how much there is to be done. We may want to have someone help us, or, we might feel that people call on us too often.
This shows being able to provide care, safety and comfort to those who need it. The “Child” has a “Servant”; he is well looked after. He also has a “Little White Lamb”, an animal companion, one he can be with, hug and enjoy. In our early years it was the sense of touch that was initially satisfied. If you felt cradled and comfortable, you could grow knowing that all was safe and well. You could find yourself in a place of privilege; cradled from those things that could hurt or challenge you, having someone to look after you. Conversely, you could be the one who’s always there for others, supporting and loving them regardless of who they are or where they’re from.
Keywords: Being protected by higher, more aware, energies. The privileges money and social status bring. Awareness of the different levels of situations. Differing perspectives. Helpers, servants. Care. Being watched over. Watchfulness. Pets and animals. The supervision of youngsters. Purity of vision. Caring for the child within.
The Caution: Social incompatibility. Snobbery. Not having to grow up. Not taking responsibility. Acting the brat. Racial prejudice. The school of ‘hard knocks’.
Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds, Chiron is known as The Wounded Healer. The wounds are The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair.
The Moon's North Node is on Virgo 7: A HAREM - the north node here can bring up issues to do with being 'the chosen one'. We can make great changes through concentrating on putting ourselves at the center of our role - not feeling like we always 'miss out', are not seen, or, have no say in relationships (of any kind).
This Symbol shows being in a group, or a “Harem”. A “Harem” is a symbol of women being, living and working together. Sharing with others, whether women or men, in an atmosphere of trust and belonging can bring rewards of all kinds to your life. There may be a feeling of being dominated or part of a group where you have to compete for whatever small benefits may be available. Perhaps you are not taken seriously enough. There is a need to use your charm and appealing aspects of your nature to succeed and to stand out from the crowd and claim a special place for yourself. Just ensure that you’re not losing out by feeling just one of many.
Keywords: Rising above jealousy, arrogance and passion. Waiting to be bestowed with the gift of being "chosen". Women's circles, sometimes closed. Women's groups. Working together. Sharing feminine rituals and stories. Egyptian tales. One person calling the shots. Beauty salons. Seduction of the senses. Having one's needs serviced. Women pampering each other. People who serve. Adoring the other. Sultans. Polygamy.
The Caution: Believing in the right to dominate those in less powerful social circumstances OR not giving oneself a sense of importance in the situation. Mistrust.
The Moon's North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a 'karmic point' (although all planets and points in a chart can be'karmic'). One's destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.
The Moon's South Node is on Pisces 7: ILLUMINATED BY A SHAFT OF LIGHT, A LARGE CROSS LIES ON ROCKS SURROUNDED BY SEA AND MIST - this can be a difficult degree, and, Neptune spent some months on it last year. We are being asked to rebuild our faith, to not feel like we have been dashed on the rocks, to pick up our mission and move past any failures from the past.
This shows being able to stay firm in one’s faith and belief in life even when one’s hopes and dreams take a battering. There may be feelings of chaos and misplaced loyalties in your life, like something has been sacrificed for no real cause and some things have come to nothing. You may need to see if perhaps your aim was too high and things came crashing down as a result of a lack of care, by yourself or others, or through people opposing your objectives or success. Having faith and a positive end in sight, you can experience a wonderful spiritual awakening - reconnecting with your spiritual ideals. Concentrate on the "Shaft of Light" as this can show you that white light is all around you.
Keywords: Renewed dedication after loss. Looking for signs of hope and recovery. Coming to terms with loss or failure. Rocks, mist, howling winds on coasts. Crosses of faith. Important and substantial sacrifices. Being devastated by events. Being in the "spotlight" in difficult times. Finding the way through the dark. The need for sacrifice. Alternative religions. Stepping outside religious boundaries.
The Caution: Losing faith. Hopes completely dashed. Unable to see through the fog. Scorn, persecution or attack through religious or social reasons. Sacrifices, sometimes for nothing.
