Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate. Albert Schweitzer
He who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love. Saint Basil
April's full Moon occurs on April 11, and, it's another big one. The Moon is conjunct Jupiter, and, the Sun is conjunct Uranus. Of course, this means that we're still in the Jupiter/Uranus opposition. Talk about wanting to break free, to release ourselves of restrictions! Talk about wanting to see justice done, and freedom and equality issues arising. This is a major opposition, and, this full Moon is bringing up the issues. And, Pluto is forming a t-square to it all - to the full Moon, Jupiter and Uranus... power issues, indeed. Conflicts, arguing, pushing, pulling, ugh. The resulting energies are asking that we let go of trying to control those things we can't control, can't change, or, really, influence. Power struggles, big time.
Another big aspect of this full Moon is the ongoing Venus retrograde. Venus is conjunct Chiron, and this can have us examining The Stories That We Tell Ourselves about our 'wounds'. We may be examining relationship issues, how we relate to others, the need to let go of some relationships and our attitudes towards those things that just aren't working - particularly those things from out of the past. This is made especially strong by Venus, and Chiron, being exactly squared by Saturn. It's push me pull you all the way. For many, this will feel like a very 'karmic time' - we may feel stuck in situations without the feeling of hope that things will improve. We are in a holding pattern, and, it helps if we listen to the stories, the words that go through our mind that restrict and restrain us from feeling like we can make any forward movement. Things will improve, they always do, but, we may need to just hang on for dear life while trusting that it will all work out.
Adding to a feeling of stasis is Mercury now retrograde. Mercury went stationary retrograde on Taurus 5: A WIDOW AT AN OPEN GRAVE. This Symbol is huge for releasing the past, and, we can do well to 'bury' those issues that no longer work for us. There's a lot of retrogrades happening now, with Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn now all retrograde - adding to the energy of dealing with the past before moving forward. Taurus 5 is a big degree for me in my journey into the Sabian Symbols. It's a long story, so I'll just leave it there...
Jupiter retrograde on Libra 18 is a big one - TWO MEN PLACED UNDER ARREST ARE BROUGHT BEFORE THE TRIBUNAL OF SOCIETY TO GIVE AN ACCOUNTING FOR THEIR ACTIONS. We, and/or others, may be asked to make amends for things done in the past. And, without wanting to get too political, this is the degree of Donald Trump's Jupiter. These next few weeks are going to be very interesting on the political front, as well as the social.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased - it's like we can see in the dark - and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it's lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there's magic unleashed with every full Moon.
The full Moon is on Libra 22: A CHILD GIVING BIRDS A DRINK AT A FOUNTAIN - this Symbol can speak of the desire, or, the need, to help others, it can show issues to do with social security, pensions, taking care of the 'little ones'.
The following is my interpretation from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom -
Commentary: ‘A Child’ is seen ‘Giving Birds a Drink at a Fountain’. The ‘Child’ is carefree and enjoying the freshness of the outdoors and the thrill of watching the ‘Birds’ having and enjoying the ‘Drink at the Fountain’. The interaction of the ‘Child’ and the ‘Birds’ can bring joy and wonder. ‘Birds’ represent spiritual messages, the ‘Child’ is the physical presence of innocence, naivety and fun, and the water represents the flow and empathy of emotional energy. This also symbolizes the joy and trust of innocence as it is a ‘Child’ that holds the ‘Fountain’ open for the ‘Birds’. This does not mean that an adult is unable to be trusted. Instead, it shows that we must maintain the innocence and openness of a ‘Child’ in order to be connected to and aware of, simple, momentary and more spiritual energies.
Oracle: ‘Children’ demonstrate a generosity of spirit and take delight in giving to beings less able than themselves. They give freely and unconditionally. This Symbol shows that we must assume the shaping and caring of a ‘Child’ in order to be connected to and aware of, the needs and worries of others. The problem that can come out of adulthood is the expectation of return, the “what’s in it for me” routine. It is when an experience is its own true reward that we achieve openness and joy in responding to the energies that surround us everyday. Someone's needs, hopes and wishes are in need of sustenance or refreshment. Whether this is you or someone else, simple gestures can revitalize situations beyond your expectations. If you, or another, have the resources to nourish or to help someone or something, the effort required will be minimal, but the rewards may be well worth it. Show some unconditional generosity and enjoy the resulting experience.
