April's full Moon occurs on April 11, and, it's another big one. The Moon is conjunct Jupiter, and, the Sun is conjunct Uranus. Of course, this means that we're still in the Jupiter/Uranus opposition. Talk about wanting to break free, to release ourselves of restrictions! Talk about wanting to see justice done, and freedom and equality issues arising. This is a major opposition, and, this full Moon is bringing up the issues. And, Pluto is forming a t-square to it all - to the full Moon, Jupiter and Uranus... power issues, indeed. Conflicts, arguing, pushing, pulling, ugh. The resulting energies are asking that we let go of trying to control those things we can't control, can't change, or, really, influence. Power struggles, big time.
Another big aspect of this full Moon is the ongoing Venus retrograde. Venus is conjunct Chiron, and this can have us examining The Stories That We Tell Ourselves about our 'wounds'. We may be examining relationship issues, how we relate to others, the need to let go of some relationships and our attitudes towards those things that just aren't working - particularly those things from out of the past. This is made especially strong by Venus, and Chiron, being exactly squared by Saturn. It's push me pull you all the way. For many, this will feel like a very 'karmic time' - we may feel stuck in situations without the feeling of hope that things will improve. We are in a holding pattern, and, it helps if we listen to the stories, the words that go through our mind that restrict and restrain us from feeling like we can make any forward movement. Things will improve, they always do, but, we may need to just hang on for dear life while trusting that it will all work out.
Adding to a feeling of stasis is Mercury now retrograde. Mercury went stationary retrograde on Taurus 5: A WIDOW AT AN OPEN GRAVE. This Symbol is huge for releasing the past, and, we can do well to 'bury' those issues that no longer work for us. There's a lot of retrogrades happening now, with Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn now all retrograde - adding to the energy of dealing with the past before moving forward. Taurus 5 is a big degree for me in my journey into the Sabian Symbols. It's a long story, so I'll just leave it there...
Jupiter retrograde on Libra 18 is a big one - TWO MEN PLACED UNDER ARREST ARE BROUGHT BEFORE THE TRIBUNAL OF SOCIETY TO GIVE AN ACCOUNTING FOR THEIR ACTIONS. We, and/or others, may be asked to make amends for things done in the past. And, without wanting to get too political, this is the degree of Donald Trump's Jupiter. These next few weeks are going to be very interesting on the political front, as well as the social.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased - it's like we can see in the dark - and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it's lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there's magic unleashed with every full Moon.
The full Moon is on Libra 22: A CHILD GIVING BIRDS A DRINK AT A FOUNTAIN - this Symbol can speak of the desire, or, the need, to help others, it can show issues to do with social security, pensions, taking care of the 'little ones'.
The following is my interpretation from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom -
Commentary: ‘A Child’ is seen ‘Giving Birds a Drink at a Fountain’. The ‘Child’ is carefree and enjoying the freshness of the outdoors and the thrill of watching the ‘Birds’ having and enjoying the ‘Drink at the Fountain’. The interaction of the ‘Child’ and the ‘Birds’ can bring joy and wonder. ‘Birds’ represent spiritual messages, the ‘Child’ is the physical presence of innocence, naivety and fun, and the water represents the flow and empathy of emotional energy. This also symbolizes the joy and trust of innocence as it is a ‘Child’ that holds the ‘Fountain’ open for the ‘Birds’. This does not mean that an adult is unable to be trusted. Instead, it shows that we must maintain the innocence and openness of a ‘Child’ in order to be connected to and aware of, simple, momentary and more spiritual energies.
Oracle: ‘Children’ demonstrate a generosity of spirit and take delight in giving to beings less able than themselves. They give freely and unconditionally. This Symbol shows that we must assume the shaping and caring of a ‘Child’ in order to be connected to and aware of, the needs and worries of others. The problem that can come out of adulthood is the expectation of return, the “what’s in it for me” routine. It is when an experience is its own true reward that we achieve openness and joy in responding to the energies that surround us everyday. Someone's needs, hopes and wishes are in need of sustenance or refreshment. Whether this is you or someone else, simple gestures can revitalize situations beyond your expectations. If you, or another, have the resources to nourish or to help someone or something, the effort required will be minimal, but the rewards may be well worth it. Show some unconditional generosity and enjoy the resulting experience.
Keywords: Enjoyment experienced in nourishing simple souls. The need for water. Simple pleasures. Innocence. Birdbaths. Fountains. Water. Innocent reaching out to others. Taking time out for others. Spontaneous gifts. Moments of innocence, spontaneity and fun. Putting aside your own needs. Stopping to help others in need. Enjoying interactions with people, birds or animals.

This Symbol brings up fabulous opportunities and possibilities. You could find yourself in beautiful places with your desires met. There can be the promise of happiness; stability and feeling like you’ve arrived where you want to be. At times, though, you may be right at the point of what you want, but perhaps you need to make the deliberate action of opening the gate; admitting to your self what you want and where you want to be. The Karmic Degree for the Sun is Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING
This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. You may feel a need, or the urge, to step up to the plate and take something or someone on. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. You may feel that you have succeeded in shouldering these burdens without others knowing, but in fact it may be apparent to others in the way the burden of your secret is affecting your behavior. It may be necessary to share the load. Are you truly participating in life? Do you always put on a happy face regardless of what’s going on? Wearing black versus pastel colors.
Keywords: Privacy. Quiet determination to get on with the job. Mild manners. Carrying more than one's share, gratefully or grudgingly. Shouldering problems. Bad backs. Victim status – poor me! This Symbol speaks of things from the past that sometimes block progress in the present or for the future. Don't let
loss beckon you to give up and throw everything away. There must always be a time to grieve, but what is lost is lost and cannot be regained by losing yourself. Know when it’s time to fill in the grave and let go, whether it’s literally letting go of people who have passed away or have disappeared from your life, in order to move on. Gather up your energies and move towards new objectives letting go of the old.
Keywords: Gradual realization of the illusion of matter. Letting go of that which no longer works. Purging and burning the past. Giving up past grievances. The passage of grief. The Karmic Degree for retrograde Mercury is Taurus 4: THE POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW
This Symbol speaks about connecting your inner thoughts with your rational conscious mind so you can communicate the feelings you wish to share. Like the ‘Rainbow’, this is not really about the elusive ‘Pot of Gold’ at its end, but rather it speaks of the wonder the rainbow creates as it links heaven and earth. The Quest Degree for retrograde Mercury is Taurus 6: A BRIDGE BEING BUILT ACROSS A HIGH NARROW GORGE - a need to 'bridge the gap'.
This Symbol speaks of the ability, or the necessity, of being a bridge for yourself or others in order to link people, things, places or understanding. People who act like bridges provide a great service for others as they make it possible to overcome limitations and to move forward. To build a bridge takes time, tools, energy, help and perseverance. Once it is completed, the dangers that it spans are no longer of any real concern, or, at least, the people can rely on getting across to the other side as there’s a space that’s been made for crossing over. One of your jobs may be to break down barriers between people.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is retrograde on Pisces 28: A FERTILE GARDEN UNDER THE FULL MOON - it is very interesting to note that, on this full Moon, Venus is retrograde on this full Moon degree. It is also very interesting to note that, although Elsie Wheeler, the fabulous spiritualist medium who gave birth to the Sabian Symbols in 1925, channelled them randomly and in a double-blind 'experiment', all three degrees... Pisces 26, Pisces 27 and Pisces 28 are 'moon' degrees. Pisces 26, which Chiron is presently on, is about determining that we have to get on with our lives, with our own projects. Pisces 26: A NEW MOON REVEALS THAT IT'S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS (see Chiron below). So, this is a very 'lunar' full Moon in more ways than one as Venus is highlighting these very strong Moon degrees.
This shows enjoying nature and the fruits of your life, your country, your culture. There's often a sense that one has all that's needed, and emotions can be running high. The “Fertile Garden” signifies that you have things that you need at your disposal. This Symbol has a strong clairvoyant sense to it, with the ability to pick up on subtle energies and life forms in the environment. You’ll get a lot of opportunities to enjoy the moment, but keep a sense of equilibrium, as soon the energy will be on the wane and you'll have to get back to more practical, everyday tasks.
Keywords: Fullness and fertility. Peak of energy and experiences. Brilliantly active unconscious life. Cycles. Waiting for the right time to approach or handle a situation. The effect of the moon. Astrology and predictive practices. The time for harvesting the rewards of hard work. Nature sprites. Vegetables, herbs and nature's bounty.

This shows recognizing the riches in one’s life, the beauty and wonder of life, to have a sense of achievement and of a job well done. Along with a wonderful ability to be able to see and vision things, this Symbol often brings a satisfying sense of abundance; it’s a time of ‘Harvest’, the sky is clear and conditions are perfect. The “Harvest Moon” is a positive sign, with high energy as it's a time of fertility, abundance and “Illumination”. Reap the benefits of the work that's been done; it takes a while to bring in the harvest. Take some time out to celebrate and connect with family and loved ones.
Keywords: Situations that are very ripe and full of fruition. Celebrating what you have. Expanded perspective making everything clear. A sense of achievement. Seizing the moment to make the most of what's possible. Nature's bounty. The beauty of the moon in the night sky.

The Quest Degree for Mars is Taurus 24: AN INDIAN WARRIOR RIDING FIERCELY WITH HUMAN SCALPS HANGING AT HIS BELT - this can be a 'war' degree, although, of course, it doesn't have to be. But, with Mars here, it certainly is at this point in time.
This Symbol shows the issue of people taking what is theirs by right or by might. It also shows the ability to be able to be recognized for abilities as a successful leader who is prepared to put themselves at risk to be successful. The risks taken are marked by rewards that are admired and respected, with a place in society marked by power and status. There's a need for caution here, though, as the "us or them" mentality can lead to problems on every level. Be strong and commanding, but don't take advantage of others or allow them to take advantage of you as it could lead to chain reactions of tit for tat mentality.
Keywords: Race wars. Claiming one's soil. Trophies of conquest. Aggression. Basic instincts. Territoriality. Chain reactions. Tit-for-tat. Competitive natures. Risks for the clan or group. Trophies, medals and diplomas. Striving for recognition and respect, deserved or not. Blood and sacrifice. Tribes mourning their losses. Ritualistic behaviors. Marking victories. War crimes. Jupiter is retrograde on Libra 18: TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO GIVE AN ACCOUNTING FOR THEIR ACTS BEFORE THE TRIBUNAL OF SOCIETY - time to remove the 'handcuffs'?
This Symbol implies the periodic need for people to step up to the line and explain themselves, or to justify some actions or ways of being, particularly in relationships. Sometimes our ideas or actions are under criticism, to the point of feeling that someone has offended social acceptability. Be thoughtful about situations, because problems you face may only exist in your own mind, stopping you from having fruitful relationships because of a lack of trust or a failed relationship in your past. You may need to forgive or feel forgiven. Relationships can be held in abeyance until the facts come to light. Things resolve themselves as time goes by.

The Quest Degree for retrograde Jupiter is Libra 19: A GANG OF ROBBERS IN HIDING
This Symbol implies that you may feel you have been wronged or something has been taken from you. Often, there is no real way of finding who or what is the cause. It often happens that the feelings of loss or being taken advantage of are mostly in your own mind, making it difficult to trust or even to know how to trust. Make sure that there is no undermining of faith by indulging in suspicions that are ungrounded in reality. You could spend time searching for perpetrators, but a better solution is probably to get on with your life. However, do take precautions so you're not easily taken advantage of. Things will most probably come to light when they are meant to.
Keywords: Gaining unfair advantage. Robbers and thieves. Spying. The cold war. Big business ripping off the "little guy". People appearing to be something that they are not. Con-men mentality. Saturn is retrograde on Sagittarius 28: A SPLENDIDLY BUILT BRIDGE, A HERITAGE OF UNKNOWN AGES, STILL SPANS THE BEAUTIFUL AND WILDLY PRIMITIVE STREAM
This Symbol speaks of building bridges between places, people and events in order to bring them together and to add cohesion to society. The “Bridge” implies strength, dependability and passage to other places. The bridge was built many years ago and it presents the ability to be able to reach back into time, to reflect on what was important then and what’s important now. Often these values are one and the same. Traditional ways of approaching things can lead to the best solutions. There is a linking of people, places and things with clarity. Note: the Galactic Center is on this degree. We need to act as bridges in order to truly create!

The Karmic Degree for retrograde Saturn is Sagittarius 27: THE SCULPTOR'S VISION IS SLOWLY BUT SURELY TAKING FORM - Saturn will move back onto this degree soon. We are being asked to 'sculpt our visions'.
This Symbol shows being able to project one’s visions, thoughts or ideals out into the world so that they take form and come into conscious manifestation. This is the degree of the Galactic Center and it holds an enormous charge of energy and power, something not to be taken lightly. There is a responsibility inherent in this for you to understand that your thoughts will take shape, so be careful about what you think! You may find yourself in situations where you can manipulate events into something of value and lasting integrity. Slow, painstaking work will bring rewards as things come to fruition. You are able to project shape and form onto materials to have a desired outcome. Follow your “Vision”, be creative; picture an outcome and watch it materialize!
Keywords: Concrete creative manifestation. The Godhead. This is the Symbol of the Galactic Center. Creating the 'Vision'. Evolution. Things going from crude beginnings all the way up to concrete outcomes. Sculptors and sculptures. Molding shapes and forms. Seeing and visualizing things ahead of their time. Having one’s designs set in stone. Sitting back and thinking that things will just magically happen without any effort being made. Others believing they know what you should do or be.
The Quest Degree for retrograde Saturn is Sagittarius 29: A FAT BOY MOWING THE LAWN - all the tasks that need doing to keep our lives neat and tidy.
This Symbol speaks about keeping things neat, clean and tidy and looking nice. The “Fat Boy” has all he needs; he’s well fed, supposedly has lots of toys (tools, machines, hobbies) and he’s out in the yard helping out. However, sometimes we are paying more attention to appearances than to the finer details or life or those things that others can't see. Many people are fooled by appearances, but there is usually an unsettling feeling that everything is not quite right. Have people been asking and asking for chores to be done? Enlist the help of those around you to get through everything, even those who normally just sit around and do nothing!
Keywords: Superficial show. Things looking respectable, and "right". Trying to lose weight through physical activity. Coming to grips with mechanical tools. Perspiring through effort. Uranus is on Aries 25: A DOUBLE PROMISE REVEALS ITS INNER AND OUTER MEANINGS
This Symbol shows that what at first appears to be may reveal itself to actually be something else. Simple promises can be more complicated than first thought. The rational and emotional responses can conflict with each other; one wants something, the other wants something else. However, this can be the way to really view things, from an inner and outer perspective. Also indicates the choice that arises - of the heart and of social obligation. Realize the implications of expectations and promises.
Keywords: Rewards, but what do they bring with them? The possible implications of or reasons for any promises. Something that may look good on the outside, but prove to be difficult. Looking for consensus. Possibilities and promises. The ins and outs of situations. Not turning up. The need to look at situations from all sides. Internal vs. external realities. Catch-22 situations. Momentary pledges that are soon forgotten. Contracts that bind.
The Quest Degree for Uranus is Aries 26: A PERSON POSSESSED OF MORE GIFTS THAN THEY CAN HOLD
This Symbol often shows someone who has more talent, more possessions, more gifts than most other people. Perhaps too much is demanded or expected of you or you expect life to give you more and more and more. Recognize that you are surrounded by abundance, but perhaps you are unable to experience it all at once. If you don't feel you have the ability to cope with all that life throws at you then look in your ‘storehouse’ and you could be surprised at talents you have that have never even been used. You may have to give up some things in order to make room for others.
Keywords: Potentials and the obsessions they can bring. Obsessions about "having things" or achieving goals. Counting one's blessings. Jack-of-all-trades. Having to drop the bundle if one more thing is added. Being talented and blessed. Enormous responsibilities. Wanting to contain all possibilities. Storage. So many things to do—so little time.

Ambition that knows no bounds. Greediness and insatiability. Being told that you can’t have what you want. Things piling up. Juggling and dropping the ball. Feeling as though you will lose everything. Being overwhelmed with possibilities.
Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or 'different'. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.
Neptune is on Pisces 14: A LADY WRAPPED IN FOX FUR
This shows being able to present an image that shows intelligence, cleverness, glamour and beauty, along with knowing how to move in social circles. The “Lady Wrapped in Fox Fur” is someone who’s sure of themselves, able to bend to situations and have situations bend to their own desires. It often shows getting out of, or into, anything they want. You can present an image that enhances your position in society. Intelligence and wit will probably see you through, with others noticing your beauty, grace or intellect. If, however, the guise was stripped away, would you still express the same qualities? You may have to display your capabilities because of negative prejudice, chauvinism, or being underestimated.
Keywords: Outer expressions of real inner worth. Animal magnetism and attraction. Intelligence and its display. Cloaks of feminine wit and sexuality. Beguiling minds. Animal totems and furs. Perceived beauty. The sense of having class and money. Beauty, fashion and talent. Being forward and upfront. Sense of personal style. Grace and composure. Elegance. Knowing what to say and when. Dressing up. Money spent on beauty. Tempting others with sexual signals. Perfumes. Pheromones. Taxidermy.
The Caution: False fronts and expressions of wealth. Selling out for momentary, or monetary, gain. Wrapped in intellectual superficiality. The fatal allure of beauty. Scoring points solely through charisma. Being so caught up in fashion and glamor that one loses a true sense of self. Being overdressed.
The Quest Degree for Neptune is Pisces 15: AN OFFICER DRILLING HIS MEN IN A SIMULATED ATTACK - this degree can bring up fear, especially if we're going over and over what might happen.
This shows being well rehearsed, prepared and ready for anything that life throws at you. When you’re well rehearsed, you are able to spring to attention when situations warrant it. You may feel that you need to rehearse or prepare for difficult situations. There is wisdom in practicing to reduce the chance of error or failure. However, are you going over and over possible positive or negative outcomes thereby losing the joy that can be found in relaxing and letting down your guard? Sometimes the things we think are going to happen don’t happen at all. Choosing where, when and how to be ready and willing to go for objectives is half the battle.
Keywords: Taking orders to better respond to situations. The higher self training the lower self. Exercises. Marching and going through the motions. The need for defense. Seeing ahead.
