December's new Moon in Sagittarius falls on December 18, and, it feels like a very special sign of the times as Saturn moves out of Sagittarius and heads into Capricorn, the new Moon occurs right before the Winter Solstice (the Summer Solstice in the southern hemisphere), therefore, Saturn is conjunct this new Moon, and, this new Moon is smack on the Galactic Center.
There's likely to be plenty of reason for optimism and good cheer, especially as we have so many planets in Sagittarius; Mercury, Venus, Moon, Sun and Saturn all in Sagittarius. Sticking with positive thoughts about the future can see breakthroughs happening on every level. Also, Uranus, in Aries, is trining all of those planets in Sagittarius, so, creative and spiritual solutions to problems are likely to pop up, often seemingly out of nowhere.
The really big feature of this new Moon is the fact that it is on the Galactic Center. To my way of thinking, the orb of the GC extends from Sagittarius 24+ to Sagittarius 29+, and, perhaps, even into Capricorn.
The Galactic Center is said to be the spot where we can 'commune with God', connect to the Law Of Attraction, and, create, shape and mold our lives. Having said that, I do feel that every degree of the zodiac can connect us to 'the mind of God', it's just that the GC of Sagittarius, and, the Super Galactic Center of late Virgo and early Libra have that capability in spades.
So, this new Moon asks the questions: How much do you believe that we can create our own reality? How mindful are you of your thoughts, what goes through your mind, etc? What is it that you truly want.
This new Moon conjunct the Galactic Center feels like a very powerful time. The GC moves one degree every 72 years as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. And, everyone reading this would have the GC on Sagittarius 27 in their chart. Sagittarius 27 is A SCULPTOR'S VISION IS SLOWLY BUT SURELY TAKING FORM. A couple of years ago, the GC moved from Sagittarius 27 to Sagittarius 28: A SPLENDIDLY BUILT BRIDGE, A HERITAGE OF UNKNOWN AGES, STILL SPANS THE BEAUTIFUL AND WILDLY PRIMITIVE STREAM.
Put most simply; we are to watch our thoughts, our desires, our self-talk, etc, in order to see what we
are creating with our awareness (or - lack of awareness). And, we are to see our lives, our actions, our quests as acting like the 'SPLENDIDLY BUILT BRIDGE." We do well, especially when the GC is highlighted, to see our lives as 'bridge-like'... building bridges between you and others, you and God, you and the things you desire to see in your world. And, with this new Moon, we not only have the lunation smack on the GC, we will also, in the coming days, have Venus and Mercury transit over it. So, we will do well to really tune into our hopes and dreams and wishes.
The trick, apparently, is to have the feeling that you have already accomplished that which you desire as, Neville Goddard says it, 'assumption hardens into fact'. If we put out the vibe that we are 'loveless', or 'need more money', we will continue to be loveless and needing more money.
Further to the idea of making our own reality is Uranus in Aries trining all of those planets in Sagittarius. If something doesn't have the ring of authenticity, if you don't feel a good gut connection to whatever it is that you are thinking of doing, you might need to take a moment to think through the ramifications of how you would feel if you did do it, and, how you would feel if you don't.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and encouragement over the past year. 2017 was rather rough on many of us, but, I can at least state that I'm finishing 2017 in a better condition than I was in at the beginning of the year! I wish you all a fabulous 2018, and, again, thank you!
There's always more to say about these full and new Moons, but, I'll leave it to the Sabian Symbols below. They are always so illuminating!
